Set of 4 forged iron Windsor style dining chairs by Jerry Wallin of Wallin Forge. The forge is known for handcrafted, custom wrought-iron furniture, decor, and metalwork. These one of a kind chairs are fashioned as a modern take on the classic Windsor chair. They are in excellent shape with beautiful hammer marks. They make an incredible statement in any setting - modern or traditional. As folk art collectors they are one of the most unique parts of our collection. Note that 2 have a small scroll detail on the upper back rail and 2 do not, otherwise they are the same (see photos for detail).
The chairs were featured in Phyllis Georges Kentucky Craft book highlighting the beautiful work of the hand. Phyllis George was the First Lady of Kentucky, Miss America 1971, one of the first women sportscasters and a passionate patron of American folk art. Jerry Wallin's work was one of her discoveries.
