In a world filled with mass-produced products, I wanted to create a storm door that reflected traditional craftsmanship, honest materials, and timeless design.

This door was handcrafted from solid red oak and built one piece at a time in my Indiana workshop. Every board was selected for grain and character, milled, assembled, sanded, and finished by hand. The full-view glass design was chosen to preserve natural light while allowing the beauty of the wood to remain the focal point.

What I love most about this piece is its simplicity. It feels equally at home on a historic farmhouse, a craftsman bungalow, or a carefully restored country property. The proportions, joinery, and natural oak grain create a warmth that simply cannot be replicated by modern aluminum storm doors.

For me, this door represents the kind of work I enjoy most—traditional woodworking, architectural details, and creating pieces that become part of a home’s story for decades to come. See less
