This delicate and ultra feminine C.1950 French black seed bead handbag features a floral chain stitch pattern in pastel shades … Read more This delicate and ultra feminine C.1950 French black seed bead handbag features a floral chain stitch pattern in pastel shades of pink, rose, yellow, green and blue. The gold gilt metal frame has a scroll design and the push button closure is decorated with a ruby red glass cabochon and tiny rhinestones. The push button closure opens to reveal a back satin lined interior. A delicate yet strong handle is fully embellished with black seed beads and makes for an easy top handle carry. The interior side pocket bears a label which reads 'HAND MADE IN FRANCE PARIS'. The diminutive size might require you to travel light for the evening though it will fit some tech devices (my 6" x 3" IPhone fit fine but nothing too much larger) . A lovely vintage accessory to accent an ensemble ...day or evening.

Good vintage condition. The beading is lovely and the interior fabric is very clean. The decoration on the push button closures is missing a couple of rhinestones, please see photograph 7. There is a slight bend to the metal frame as indicated in photograph 9 though it does not affect use and the handbag closes securely.

The body of the handbag measures 8" wide x 5" tall x approximately 2" deep...large enough for some tech devices. The chain handle measures 12" from end to end providing for a 5" drop. See less
