Crafted from curved solid wood … Read more An impressive set of four Mito T 70 chairs, designed by Carlo Bartoli in 1969. Crafted from curved solid wood and black lacquered curved plywood, they represent one of the most significant examples of Italian research into organic furniture between the late 1960s and early 1970s. The continuous structure and essential profile create a sculptural silhouette of great formal balance, in which construction technique and aesthetic experimentation merge in a rigorous and contemporary style.
Very good condition. The chairs show minor signs of aging and light traces of use consistent with their age and original purpose. The structures are solid and stable, with no obvious cracks or restorations. The lacquer is well preserved, with minimal surface marks on the edges and lower legs (see photo). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
