Exclusive antique folding fan, Pericón, from the late 19th century, in the Romantic style.
The Pericón was especially used in theatrical and musical stage sets.
Its design consists of two sections.
- The ribs, in this case an exquisite and refined sandalwood piece, feature an ornamental pattern of delicate floral latticework in gold and silver, which extends to the rest of the ribs with floral and scroll decoration in gold and silver.
The outer ribs reinforce the same floral latticework decoration and gold and silver paint.
The paisley is made of beautiful champagne-colored silk and depicts a refined artistic scene with two young women against a light blue background, dressed in period clothing and framed by a large bouquet of violets and roses.
The Pericón is finished with a gilt metal ring from which a silk tassel hangs.
It is in its original condition. An incredible and beautiful collector's item, or even for personal use! A unique and very special gift!
It features a refined and subtle romantic aesthetic, typical of that era.
