Each piece is part of a journey: smooth and perfect on the inside, like the beginning of life, where everything is still intact, pure, and potential; rough and "ruined" on the outside, an imperfect surface that embraces history and experience. The material is treated on the inside with antacids to prevent staining during immersion, while the marble on the outside is handcrafted to leave a natural appearance that also ensures the porosity and absorption we need. Coffee, a vital and everyday element, is used to dirty and stain the rough exterior surface of the centerpiece; this process symbolizes the path of life: at the beginning we are intact, then events, such as time and emotions, leave traces on our skin, on our being.
