A large porcelain dinner service, exceptional in quality and number of pieces, from the renowned Hache et Pépin Lehalleur factory … Read more A large porcelain dinner service, exceptional in quality and number of pieces, from the renowned Hache et Pépin Lehalleur factory in Vierzon and Paris, dating from the 19th century. The white porcelain is decorated with a double gilt band framing a parma violet band. The handles and finials of the serving pieces are gilt and embellished with elegant black palmettes and lambrequins. This service comprises 112 pieces.

The name Hache Pépin-Lehalleur is synonymous with quality and prestige. The firm was based in Paris, on the Place Vendôme, a hub of luxury in the capital, and became an ambassador of French craftsmanship. In his report on the Vienna World's Fair of 1873, Victor Albert de Luynes wrote: "Messrs. Hache and Pépin-Lehalleur have represented, with the latest advancements and with great perfection, the manufacture of French hard-paste porcelain." Period: 1845-1872. We also have a dessert service from the same period and manufacturer, comprising 51 plates, 10 compote dishes, and a covered cream pot, all in the same pattern (gilt and mauve) with a floral and butterfly decoration.
