CUNA
Design: Aringhieri, Cretu, Redi, Scortini
Art Direction: Gumdesign
Cuna is the union of Jerissa Stone and Tuscan wool, two materials from distant places that meet in the Mediterranean Sea, a cradle of cultural exchanges for millennia. It is precisely the intertwining of maritime routes that shapes the paths that the wool traces in Cuna, furrowing the stone's profile. The alternating layers of wool create a network that acts as a cradle for whatever is placed within it, just as the sea welcomes those who cross it in its invisible overlap.
Cuna is the union between Jerissa Stone and Tuscan wool, two materials from distant places that meet in the Mediterranean Sea, which has been the cradle of cultural exchanges for millennia. It is precisely the intertwining of maritime routes that draws the paths traced by the wool in Cuna, cutting across the profile of the stone. The alternating layers of wool create a network that cradles what is placed within it, just as the sea embraces those who cross it in its invisible overlap.
