This exquisite 19th-century French mirror beautifully captures the elegance of the Louis XVI style.
Crafted from giltwood and stucco, the frame is adorned with a prominent crest featuring a ribbon bow, a rose wreath, and crossed torches. The frame borders are finely molded with floral patterns that meet at intersecting corner blocks.
The original beveled glass mirror shows a wonderful, heavy patina with mercury foxing, characteristic of authentic period mirrors. The back is fully enclosed with its original antique wooden boards.
