A matched pair of signed and numbered limited edition lithographs by Bev Doolittle, titled "Guardian Spirits," published in 1987 by The Greenwich Workshop as part of their Personal Commission Tableaux Dramatiques series.
The companion prints depict a Blackfoot warrior on horseback, adorned in full ceremonial dress with the feathers, pelts, and claws of his animal protectors. Doolittle's signature camouflage technique reveals eighteen spirit animals hidden throughout the composition. In one print, the warrior rides forward in calm confidence; in its companion, he has sensed danger, and the fierce, protective energy of his guardian spirits becomes visible in his bearing.
Both prints are hand-signed in pencil and numbered 5701/13,238. Includes the original Greenwich Workshop folio with documentation, artist biography, COA, and print registration card.
Unframed. Image size approximately 22.6" x 25.5" each. Paper in excellent condition with no visible damage, foxing, or discoloration. Stored flat in the original folio.
