This demure and elegant, mahogany, display-pedestal suggests a design typical of the late 1800’s, with Victorian, Edwardian, Neoclassical and Empire influences. These stands were used to elevate and show-case one’s treasures of importance , or to bring a bit of nature indoors, by using it as a plant stand. This pedestal would also make a good-looking smoking stand—just add your favorite ashtray!
