A striking and rare pair of early 20th century hexagonal pedestals featuring a beautifully distressed black or dark brown lacquered finish with visible remnants of original gold leaf gilding. Each stand is crowned with a smooth, beautifully veined marble top on both sides showcasing rich natural patterns. Hand carved decorative cut-outs. This pair of exceptional documented family Provenance, having been acquired during a documented trip to China in the 1920s. Pedestals still retain original vintage shipping identification markings. In good condition.
Measures approximately 12 1/2" (marble top), 14" widest point and 30" tall.
