A handsome pair of Victorian English chromolithographs from the celebrated “Hunting Incidents” series, featuring the sporting scenes “Full Cry” and “A Cross Meeting.”
Dating to the late 19th century, these richly colored prints capture the tradition and pageantry of the English fox hunt, depicting mounted riders, hounds, and idyllic countryside landscapes in the grand sporting tradition. The vibrant chromolithographic printing process allowed for exceptional color and detail, making these decorative works highly sought after during the Victorian era.
The prints are presented in attractive bird’s-eye maple veneered frames with gilt liners, adding warmth and refinement while complementing the English country-house character of the artwork.
