A beautifully made mixed-media sculpture by California artist Frank Sunseri, known for combining metalwork with naturally occurring wood forms.
Born in Stockton in 1950, he began showing his original, welded metal sculptures in Monterey, Carmel, San Francisco and Sausalito in the mid '70s. He assisted Carmel sculptor Malcolm Moran in creating many specialty commissioned sculptures. He also worked with Loet Van Derveen, Don Buby, Victor Zaikine and the Bennett Brothers. His background as a welder and sculptor is evident in the careful metalwork, while his use of organic materials reflects a lifelong interest in the natural world.
Signed with Sunseri's signature monogram.
