Produced primarily in the 18th and 19th centuries, these tin-glazed ceramics feature a rich, purple-brown manganese pigment. Hand-painted image with spider's head corner motifs. (see photo from our reference book). We have several landscape/house tiles with different images. All were purchased in Holland by Norman Karlson, tile collector and former owner of Country Floors. Mr. Karlson is known for his books on American Art tiles but traveled the world in search of antique tiles. If interested in seeing our other images, let us know. See less
