the chair features a camel-back profile typical of the chippendale/georgian repertoire, upholstered in a burgundy boucle fabric with black highlights, accented by green-grey piping. The dark wood armrests (walnut or mahogany) are carved with scrolls and support padded arm pads. The solid wood cross base is mounted on period casters. A central cast-iron mechanism allows for 360° rotation, height adjustment via screws, and backrest tilt adjustment by lever—a characteristic feature of office chairs from the late victorian/edwardian period.

wear is consistent with age: the fabric is slightly faded, and the wood of the armrests is eroded at the ends. The adjustment mechanisms (height and tilt) are functional, according to the seller. Fabric cleaning and armrest repairs will be required.
