Decorative pair of hand-painted ceramic wall plates produced by Puigdemont in Spain, circa 1960s. Featuring two expressive stylized fish rendered in vivid enamel colors, these pieces reflect the playful Mediterranean aesthetic associated with the Puigdemont workshop in La Bisbal, Catalonia.
Executed in glazed ceramic with raised details and lively brushwork, each plate presents a distinct fish composition, creating a balanced yet intentionally varied decorative ensemble. The left plate is signed Puigdemont on the reverse, while the companion plate is unsigned but originates from the same production and was acquired together.
Originally conceived as wall decoration, these ceramic plates also work beautifully displayed on easels or incorporated into a ceramic wall arrangement. Their colorful sculptural presence makes them an excellent example of Spanish mid-century decorative ceramics. This piece has an attribution mark,
