The central figure is flanked by griffins rampant or winged decorative elements. Manufactured in Spain around 1850. The polychrome design uses traditional ceramic colors including ochre yellow, cobalt blue, green and black on a white background. Listing is for one tile, but we have about 20 pieces in varying glazes and conditions. These were purchased in Spain by Norman Karlson, tile collector and author.
