Here is a beautiful antique oil painting of a dark bay hunter in a landscape by James Barenger The Younger (British, 1780-1831). The piece has a simple, contemporary background in a muted color palette and is finished in a stunning original giltwood and gesso frame. The piece is dated approximately 1820 and is signed on the bottom edge of canvas. This handsome hunter would be a wonderful addition to a great room, dining room, or foyer entry of an equestrian-inspired home.
