A lovely and exotic rendering of Fragonard's famous depiction of a young girl engrossed in her book. The gemstones glisten and the total effect is dazzling. The list on the back references all the various gemstones used in its creation. This is a real room-maker. The overall condition is very good. There are a few stones missing in the lower portion of the picture, but this is only noticeable on close examination. (See photos and video.) Image size is 15 1/2" x 12" and the frame dimensions are 21" x 17 1/2".
