From the 1940's this is a rare pair of John Rood Solid oak carved figures. The larger figure is titled "The Neighbor" and is signed and dated. The smaller figure is signed but not dated. It is assumed they are part of the same era and collection.
The artists early carving career involved wood carving and has been described as folk style with themes of everyday people.
Larger figure is 19" tall; smaller is 17" tall.
