The shimmering gold-colored flecks or "glitters" scattered across the surface are metallic pyrite. Geologically, the presence of these pyrite inclusions is often seen as proof that the Lapis Lazuli is natural rather than a synthetic imitation. The sterling silver disc beads are in the style of Navajo pearls. The necklace measures 17 inches in length. The necklace is finished with a large sterling silver pendant, reminiscent of Native American or Mexican silversmiths of the early to mid part of the 20th century. See less
