This is an incredibly unique and versatile antique table that has been passed down through my family for generations. It originally belonged to my grandmother, and I think it belonged to her father before that (dating it back to around 1920).
It features classic Chippendale style detailing, including beautiful carved "ball and claw" legs and an ornate decorative trim along the bottom edge. It is made of solid, rich mahogany and is very sturdy.
What makes this table truly amazing is its clever mechanical design. It can easily change into 4 different sizes depending on your space, making it perfect for flexible living:
21" x 37.75" (Desk Size): The top flips in half and the legs push inward, making it a great size to use as a dedicated home office desk or console table.
42" x 37.75" (Small Dining): The top unfolds and the legs pull apart to create a perfect, compact everyday dining table. This is exactly how we used it in our home!
54" x 37.75" (Medium Dining): The wooden tracks underneath slide open to accept one of the included 12" leaves.
66" x 37.75" (Large Dining): With both 12" leaves inserted, it expands into a full-sized formal dining table that comfortably seats a crowd.
It is a fantastic, multifunctional piece that we have loved owning, but we are ready to pass it on to its next home.

One of the legs was slightly loose, so I securely reinforced it with a metal L-bracket under the table. It is tucked safely behind the decorative carved bracket where the leg meets the tabletop, so it is hidden from view unless you are underneath the table closely inspecting it. There are also some water rings on the wood surface, but they are only visible when the table is completely folded down to its smallest desk dimensions—they are hidden away when you unfold it into a dining table. Otherwise, it just has normal, minor surface wear from a century of family love. Includes both original 12" extension leaves. less
