This table was purchased directly from a village in Malawi during an extended stay. A striking conversation piece and collectible functional sculpture, this hand-carved African game table features intricate tribal craftsmanship with a beautifully aged patina. The sculptural base is formed from elegantly curved supports leading to a circular top carved with multiple recessed playing wells, traditionally used for Mancala-style games.
