Bright vibrant colors applied with an impasto technique.
(Impasto is a painting technique involving the application of thick, textured paint —so that brush or palette knife strokes remain clearly visible. Originating from Italian for "dough" or "mixture," this method adds a three-dimensional, tactile quality to artwork, enhancing light, texture, and emotional expression).
Acquired from the artist's personal estate.
Carol Bernard was part of the Beat Generation Era in Greenwich Village before moving west and becoming part of the California Abstract Expressionist Movement.
