A lush, romantic still life in oil: a generous bouquet of pink roses in a tall white vase, set on a sunny sill against a mullioned window, with a single bloom resting below. The roses are built up in thick, sculptural impasto that catches the light, set against a soft, impressionistic background of misty blues and warm greens.
Signed "Emily" lower left. The back carries an Artistic Interiors, Inc. certified original oil label (no. 344158) and a handwritten notation on the stretcher reading "Grazia Lanciano, frame 500, 5/2/83" and "Pasquinucci / Piccinini."
Presented in an ornate gilt frame with a velvet liner, ready to hang. A sweet, romantic piece for a bedroom, powder room, or breakfast nook.
