This 8”x 8” oil painting was created onsite in Prescott, Arizona during a plein air competition by artist Cindy Carrillo. There was one tree with yellow and orange leaves just turning at the edge of the lake, just so beautiful against the cobalt blue of the sky. Plein air is painting outside, right in front of the subject capturing the freshness of the day, the sunlight, the natural colors. This piece is painted on hardboard, unframed, in high quality professional oil paints. The strokes are strong and thick and bold.
