Original Cecil Beaton (1904-1980) signed (LR) watercolour, bodycolour & pencil set design for the 2nd version of Beaton's play "The Gainsborough Girls" entitled "Landscape with Figures" 1951 performed at Theatre Royal Brighton starring Angela Baddeley and Laurence Hardy.
Provenance:
The Estate of Eileen Hose, Cecil Beaton's secretary to whom Beaton had bequeathed much of his work.
This lot was acquired at auction at Christie's London June 21, 1988 Lot #29
