Mid-century modern ceramic and brass table lamp with original shade and milk glass diffuser.
The ceramic body has a really nice stacked silhouette with alternating curves and narrow waists that give it a slightly totemic feel. Finished in a speckled off-white glaze with soft brown banding, it has that earthy studio pottery influence that showed up in a lot of late-’50s and early-’60s lighting. The brass accents warm it up nicely without overpowering the ceramic.
Retains its original milk glass diffuser and tall tapered shade, which casts a soft, even glow when lit. A great sculptural single lamp with a surprisingly slender footprint for its height. No makers mark.
