The pair features an elegant architectural form with fluted bamboo detailing, stepped bases and layered capitals, giving the pieces a refined classical column silhouette while retaining the warmth and natural texture of bamboo.
The proportions are very decorative and versatile, allowing the pedestals to be used either individually as display stands or together as sculptural bases for a glass console table, as shown in the images.

The design is very much in the spirit of Gabriella Crespi and the Italian Riviera style of the 1960s and 1970s, combining natural materials with a glamorous yet relaxed decorative language. The warm honey-toned bamboo has developed a beautiful natural patina, with minor signs of age and use consistent with vintage condition.

A highly decorative pair that works wonderfully in an entrance hall, living room, gallery setting or as a console behind a sofa.
