Titled “The Spittin’ Image of Old John Francis,” this expressive portrait depicts an elderly gentleman seated beside a cast iron stove. Etheredge’s confident brushwork and muted palette give the painting a strong sense of character and Americana charm.

The painting is signed lower left and retains its original brass identification plaque referencing both the artist and Opportunity House, an organization Etheredge helped establish in Hendersonville in 1958.

Framed in an elegant silver-toned frame and ready to display.
