The "Favorite" branding on the case and the scale arrangement (A, B, C, D with S, L, T scales on the reverse) are consistent with K&E's Favorite Mannheim rules produced during that period.

Condition - Slide rule: Good vintage condition (about 7.5/10). Case: Fair to poor condition (about 4/10).

Cursor is present and appears original. Glass cursor window is intact. Celluloid scale faces remain readable. Wood body straight with no obvious warping. Moderate age toning and ink staining. Some edge wear. Cursor and slide move freely with the slide is a little tight.

Case is original. Wear to the leatherette covering. Corners are frayed and separating.
Old tape repairs on both the case and end cap. Printing on the case is still largely legible (in red ink it read "AH Vanderbeek" my dad, who used it for a Mechanical Engineering degree from Clarkson University in the 1940s after the war.)

The all-glass cursor and Favorite branding are consistent with K&E Favorite Mannheim models sold during the late 1930s through WWII. See less
