Ceramic tile made after a design by Jean Lurçat, produced by the Sant Vicens workshop in Perpignan in the 1950s.
Square in format, it features a stylized and colorful decoration, characteristic of the artist's graphic vocabulary, blending organic forms and free composition. The vibrant glazes, combining red, yellow, white, and blue on a brown background, enhance the piece's pictorial dimension.
The reverse bears a handwritten inscription mentioning "Design J. Lurçat" and the Sant Vicens workshop, attesting to this emblematic collaboration between artists and ceramicists in the post-war period.
France, Perpignan, circa 1950. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
