:
Exceptional painted wardrobe structured with a two-door front and chamfered sides. The upper part features a shaped cymatium, centered by a protruding cartouche bearing the “1804” dating.
The surface is treated with a gorgeous gray-blue background shade, creating a wonderful rich patina upon which the pictorial decoration is applied. The doors and side panels feature rectangular geometric framing defined by dark moldings and stringers. Inside the four door panels, four architectural landscapes of idealized taste are depicted, characterized by towers, castles, fortifications, and villages set in hilly contexts, executed in gray and white monochrome on a warm orange-ocher background.
The connecting areas of the structure, in particular the band below the cymatium and the median portion between the upper and lower panels, are enriched with polychrome floral garlands and shoots, dominated by shades of pink, red, and leaf green. The chamfered corners and sides echo the same geometric and decorative arrangement.
The piece retains its original coeval hardware, including large exposed escutcheons and hinges in pierced wrought iron, positioned along the central closure. The escutcheons are particularly refined, featuring finely chiseled crescent decorations with anthropomorphic details, and a fully functional lock complete with its original key.
The base rests on flattened onion feet, which support the entire structure, preserving its slender, balanced, and luxury silhouette.
Internally, the piece preserves its original layout, with the coeval vertical partition. The interior space can be customized according to your needs with shelves and/or a hanging rail.
