"Stormy Day" is atmospheric abstract painting where dominating blues and deeply textured surface meet. By utilizing transparent pigments, the artwork allows light to travel through the layers of canvas, capturing the restless, shifting energy of a tempestuous sky and churning waters.
The painting is a collage done on a textured canvas board with multiple layers of acrylic and oil paints, that truly brings the painting to life. That technique allows underlying tones to peek through luminous, glaze-like layers, creating an illusion of depth and richness.
"Stormy Day" is not a depiction of unfavorable weather, but a celebration of the profound emotional shifts that storm brings. It speaks to resilience, the beauty found in chaos, and clarity that often emerges after the rain.
