Crafted in richly figured walnut, the cabinet is distinguished by its magnificent carved decoration, centred by a large relief panel depicting lively pastoral and classical scenes
The panel is framed by bold mouldings and flanked by finely carved female caryatid figures, demonstrating the exceptional craftsmanship and artistic ambition associated with Renaissance Revival furniture
The substantial moulded top sits above an architectural façade of remarkable depth and detail, with further carving extending across the base and side supports
The bottom frieze has a long drawer sectioned off with dividers
