Napoleon III style office chair, dating from the third quarter of the 19th century, in solid oak with a golden honey patina.
The curved back, known as a "barrel" back, is fully upholstered in tobacco brown leather secured with a double row of antique brass upholstery tacks. The center of the back is adorned with a carved wooden element featuring a rocaille or foliate motif, typical of the period's ornamental repertoire. The front legs are turned with ball decoration and fluting; the rear legs are slightly angled saber-shaped. The chair displays a patina consistent with its age, with some signs of wear on the leather and wood that do not detract from its overall appearance. Good overall condition. No restoration work has been reported; maintenance cleaning is recommended.
