The composition comprises a top band and side panels of verre églomisé – a technique of painting and gilding applied to the reverse side of the glass – adorned with foliate scrolls, volutes, circular medallions, and floral cartouches in amber, blood red, and gold tones against a silvered mirror background. The main glass panel features foxing characteristic of turn-of-the-century production. The intersections between panels are highlighted by thin metal strips and patinated bronze rosettes in floral shapes. The outer frame is a molded wood panel, lacquered red with a gilt fillet. Dimensions: H 102 cm – W 232 cm – Estimated weight 60 kg. Very good overall condition. No restoration work is mentioned; surface cleaning should be assessed upon receipt. See less
