a standing object built from three honest materials. At its foot sits a solid cast-iron counterweight, 5 kg, chosen deliberately for its mass and left in its industrial hammer-grey finish — the stable base the whole piece is balanced on. From its centre rises a raw, unpolished aluminium tube. Above it, a clear polycarbonate cylinder holds the light source openly: a dimmable led tube lamp on a standard e27 fitting — contained, never concealed, and freely replaceable.
