an elegant pair of oil paintings on panel depicting traditional and rustic scenes, titled “basque customs,” created by the spanish painter c. Vidaime around the beginning of the 20th century.
in the first work, we find a scene of fieldwork, what appears to be the felling of trees, judging by the axe held by the upright figure, and the logs lying on the ground. In the second painting, a bullfighting scene depicts a human figure seemingly running in front of two bulls, while behind them, three figures resembling the bullfighting team surround them, ready to intervene.
