This office desk chair was designed by Perry King and Santiago Miranda for the Italian manufacturer Planula during the 1970s. The design features a low-profile silhouette typical of Italian office furniture from this period, prioritizing geometric clarity and integrated components.
The chair is upholstered in dark brown leather, showing characteristics and wear consistent with age and regular use. Structurally, the padded armrests are integrated into the lower seat frame, creating a semi-enclosed shell that sits independent of the backrest. The upper structure is mounted on a five-star polished cast aluminum base.
The chair features a 360-degree swivel mechanism. Height adjustment is regulated via a manual threaded central spindle, and a lever positioned beneath the seat activates the tilt mechanism.
