These authentic antique bird prints originate from The Birds of North America, the celebrated 19th-century ornithological work by Jacob H. Studer. Published during the golden age of American natural history, Studer's illustrations captured the beauty and diversity of North American birdlife and remain highly sought after by collectors, naturalists, and admirers of antique Americana.
The original volume from which these prints were sourced had suffered significant damage over time. Rather than allowing the remaining artwork to be lost, we carefully salvaged the usable illustrated portions and transformed them into charming framed displays. Each image has been individually cut, mounted by hand on corrugated cardboard, and presented in a ready-made frame beneath glass.
These small-scale antique prints bring warmth, character, and a sense of history to any space. Equally at home on a bookshelf, tucked into a gallery wall, displayed in a lake cottage, cabin, farmhouse kitchen, or study, they offer a unique way to enjoy genuine 19th-century natural history artwork. Because these are created from original antique book pages, every piece carries the subtle character and patina that only age can provide.
