ilkscreen print Chevaux et Cavaliers V (1972) by Marino Marini, one of the most important Italian modernist artists of the 20th century.
Marini is best known for his iconic horse and rider motif, which he developed as a powerful metaphor for the tension between humanity and nature, stability and chaos, control and instinct. In this series, the simplified, expressive forms emphasize emotional force over realism.
