A hallmark of archaic ethnic style, this Soumak flatweave features an abraché brick red field that serves as a canvas for four vertical columns of stylized "S"-shaped dragon representations. These zoomorphic motifs are steeped in ancient Caucasian symbolism, with bodies rendered in ivory, navy, and brick tones. Each "dragon" is intricately detailed with smaller multicolored "S" shapes, topped by two "horns" and finished with a distinctive forked tail.
