Perforated brass ceiling lamps with an organic profile and dotted light diffusion. Attributed to Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd, 1950s.
Pair of Swedish pendant lamps attributed to Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd, made in the 1950s in perforated polished brass. The soft, tapered silhouette recalls the organic language of postwar Scandinavian design, while the band of micro-perforations creates a soft light diffusion, a feature frequently associated with Jakobsson's work. The Swedish designer developed a research into indirect and atmospheric light that would profoundly influence mid-century Nordic lighting.
