A lovely antique Qashqai rug, handwoven by the eponymous nomadic tribe circa 1910. The rug features an allover design on a rich terracotta field and great secondary colours of greens, pinks and blues. Finely woven and a great example of tribal weaving.
Size: 2.61m x 1.65m (8ft 7in x 5ft 5in)
This rug is in good condition with moderate even wear, slightly heavier in places (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
