"Encapsulation" is part of the Fragile States series, which explores human inner states and the psychological mechanisms that shape our relationship with the world. At the center of the composition stands a solitary figure, turned away from the viewer and enclosed within a confined architectural space. The mosaic-like mask becomes a symbol of the complex inner structure of identity concealed beneath its outer surface.
The title refers to the concept of encapsulation—the preservation and protection of internal content within defined boundaries. In this work, the enclosed environment is not presented as a restriction, but as a necessary space in which individuality can be preserved and the inner self can continue to exist and evolve.
The painting is built upon the contrast between the monumental dark figure and the rhythmic vertical structure of the background. Rich textures, layered materials, and the interaction of light with the surface create a sense of depth, presence, and quiet psychological tension.
"Encapsulation" examines the boundary between the external and the internal, between the need for protection and the desire to preserve an authentic sense of self. The work invites viewers to reflect on the private mental space each person creates in order to maintain integrity within an ever-changing world.
