An exceptional piece of 1980s Italian post-modern lighting design, this "Geco" (Gecko) wall lamp was designed by Paolo Francesco Piva and manufactured by Stefano Cevoli. This highly sculptural fixture features a thick, gracefully undulating shade crafted from vibrant green frosted glass, detailed with fine molded parallel ridges that diffuse light with stunning softness.
The organic, wing-like glass shade sits securely upon a structural matte black metal base, held in place by two minimalist black prongs. True to the avant-garde spirit of the 1980s, its geometric, diamond-shaped silhouette looks just as striking when turned off as it does when illuminated. It can be hardwired as a dramatic wall sconce or cleverly styled on a console as an ambient uplight.
