Rare vintage Italian articulating wall light, circa 1950s, attributed to designer Oscar Torlasco. This sculptural fixture features a handblown smoked-glass bowl shade with polished oval windows, mounted to a stepped scissor-style articulating arm in a warm rose-gold/copper patina finish.
The multi-jointed brass armature extends and pivots smoothly from a rectangular backplate, providing versatile task and ambient lighting. When illuminated, the circular lens cutouts on the smoked-glass diffuser cast a dynamic pattern across surrounding surfaces while shielding direct glare. Its sophisticated mechanical construction and striking materials reflect the peak of postwar Italian modernist lighting design.
Ideal for bedside mounting, over a desk, or as an architectural accent along a corridor, living room, or library wall.
