Each chair features a tall, architecturally proportioned back composed of multiple slender vertical spindles framed by tall vertical stiles. On the armchairs, clean open arms angle gently from the back post to the seat rail. The seat frames are shaped with a graceful concave curve along the sides and accented with a subtle molded edge, while the front legs are square-tapered with molded edges and the rear legs sweep outwards in a saber form. The seat cushions are upholstered in a cream ivory woven fabric with a fine mottled pebble-dot texture. The chairs are sturdy with solid joinery and construction. The seat fabric is original and has minor wear, but shows well and is still presentable. Each chair is crafted in a modern neoclassical style with subtle French Directoire and Regency style influences, creating a set suitable for a variety of interiors. Baker maker's tags are present on the underside of each chair. Sold as a set of six. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
